YouTube fitness and productivity content is generally NOT aimed at parents. While there is fitness for parents doesn’t have any special requirements, there are certain tips and assumptions that simply don’t apply to us.
For example: how often have you been told that you absolutely MUST get 8 hours of sleep?
And, as a parent, how likely is it that you’re going to be able to do that?
Diet advice is often inapplicable (unless you want to make three versions of every meal). And goals often just don’t align with those of parents.
In this video, I break down some more ways in which typical fitness/self-improvement advice just doesn’t apply to parents. I also discuss what fitness for parents means, and how we can still be productive.
Finally, I want to explore whether or not we SHOULD have children – especially before the age of 30 – if we want to maximize our potential.
